White fillings

For ‘barely there’ repairs

As well as providing an effective repair for decay or damage, white fillings also blend in with your natural teeth. They can also support the remaining structure of a damaged tooth to help prevent further breakage and sensitivity.

We layer the composite resin on to a cavity and shape it to look like a real tooth. White fillings are a little more difficult to place than traditional fillings so the procedure may take longer.

White fillings are often considered to be less durable than amalgam fillings, but they are now made from hard-wearing materials and can offer a lasting solution. However, how long they last will depend on the depth of the cavity and its position in the mouth.
