Extractions

Making more room and eliminating pain

Occasionally, we may have to extract a tooth if it is damaged beyond repair or if more space is needed in the mouth.

A tooth may need extracting for the following reasons:

  • Extensive decay
  • It has been loosened by gum disease
  • It is a wisdom tooth that won’t grow through properly
  • More room is needed in your mouth before orthodontic treatment

We take an x-ray to determine the best method of removal and numb the area before taking the tooth out carefully with dental forceps.
